Your family's shoebox of papers, turned into stories you can share

Send us your old letters, journals, photos and certificates. We turn them into organized, searchable family records and short life sketches of your ancestors, checked by a real person before you see them. We can also help you plan your next family reunion.

Watercolor sketch of an open old shoebox full of tied letters, photographs, a leather journal and a sealed certificate, with a family tree growing out of it, its branches hung with empty oval portrait frames.

How it works

Three simple steps. You never need to type anything up yourself.

Watercolor of older hands taking a phone photo of a handwritten letter on a kitchen table, with old photographs and a cup of tea nearby.

Upload your papers

Take photos with your phone or scan them. Letters, journals, photos and certificates are all welcome. We straighten and clean up every picture, and your originals are kept exactly as they are.

We organize them

Each page is read and typed up, with names, dates and places noted, so your family can search everything in seconds. Brad checks each one before you see it.

Watercolor of a small handmade book lying open, with an oval silhouette portrait on one page and pressed wildflowers and lavender across the pages.

Read their life stories

We write short life sketches of parents, grandparents and ancestors from your own documents. Every fact points back to the record it came from.

What your family gets

A calm, private place for your family history, built for families who love FamilySearch.

Searchable family records

Find Grandma's letters by name, place or year. Every record keeps the original picture beside the typed text.

Life sketches checked by a real person

A computer helps with the first draft. Brad reads and approves every sketch before it reaches you.

Watercolor of a large family picnic under a big old oak tree, with a long table, a quilt on the grass, children playing and lanterns in the branches.

Reunion planning made easy

Send invitations, collect RSVPs, choose the best date together, share the schedule and keep track of who has paid.

Private by default

Your family owns its documents. Only your family and Brad can see them. Living people are kept private, and you can download or delete everything at any time.
